On 18 August 2023, Ms. Kim Caple, President of Thermo Fisher Scientific (hereinafter referred to as Thermo Fisher), led a team to visit the Changping Branch of Beijing Microread Technology Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as Microread), accompanied by Mr. Chris Cowen, Vice President of Commercial Affairs of Thermo Fisher's Global Genetic Sciences Business, Mr Tansiqi, Commercial Vice President of Thermo Fisher's Genomic Sciences Business Unit in China, Mr Li Kongliang, Director of Business Development and Strategic Growth, Mr Sun Xu, Director of Marketing, and Ms Pan Dunfei, Senior Product Manager, accompanied the visit, and the Thermo Fisher team was warmly received by the Chairperson of Microread, Mr Chen Chuguang, and the General Manager of Microread with the senior management team, Ms Guo Lihua.
Ms Kim Caple and her team visited Microread's GMP production workshop and had an in-depth discussion with the Microread team.
Mr Chen Chuguang, Chairman of Microread Genetics, introduced the market environment of China's IVD industry, elaborated on Microread's strategic plan and product pipeline based on its genetic analyser (CE) platform, and gave an outlook on the future cooperation between the two companies.
In recent years, China's IVD industry has achieved remarkable growth, with increasing demand for precision medicine and innovative diagnostic solutions.
