The Microreader™ 28A Direct ID System is a 6-dye, 28-locus STR kit that integrates maximum compatibility with global databasing loci standards, with directed amplification design and superior discrimination power, to enable forensic DNA labs worldwide to maximize information recovery and improve overall efficiency.
The Kit is subjected to rigorous quality control testing to offer consistent performance. We develop and manufacture our products in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 18385 quality system requirements.
The kit contains all of the markers included in the major global databases, covered all CODIS and ESS recommended loci.
Without the need for sample extraction, purification and quantification, the entire process from direct amplification of the samples to the PCR products can be completed in 90 minutes, which improves the work efficiency and reduced testing costs, which are very suitable for the processing of large batches of samples.
The kit has an anti-pollution design. When performing STR genotyping, it can remove other PCR products that may be mixed in the amplification tube, avoid personnel contamination or non-specific amplification, and effectively reduce the impact of laboratory aerosol contamination. Increase the success rate of the experiment.
PCR components and conditions are well optimized, which greatly improves sensitivity of the kit. Full STR profiles could still be obtained with DNA input as low as 0.0625 ng. 10 mini-STR (<220bp) could be detected by specifically designed STR loci arrangement, which are very powerful when dealing with degraded samples.
It can be used in conjunction with the Y chromosome kits: MicroreaderTM Y Prime Plus ID system (please see it in catalogue “Casework Investigation Solutions”.), to create a whole solution plan for DNA database construction, maximizing the use of DNA data and avoiding information waste.
