Product Details

MicroreaderTM Equine 18 ID profiling kit is used for detecting and identifying equine (horse) genetic relationships using short tandem repeat (STR) DNA loci. It can amplify a total of 17 microsatellites plus a sex loci in a single multiple PCR reaction, then detected and analyzed by capillary electrophoresis. Equine control DNA was supplied for verifying acceptable PCR and electrophoresis conditions. The kit has been optimized and is suitable for various extraction methods and instruments.
