MicroreaderTM Canine 22 ID profiling kit is used for detecting and identifying canine (dog) genetic relationships using short tandem repeat (STR) DNA loci. It can amplify a total of 21 microsatellites plus a sex loci in a single multiple PCR reaction, then detected and analyzed by capillary electrophoresis. Feline control DNA was supplied for verifying acceptable PCR and electrophoresis conditions. The kit has been optimized and is suitable for various extraction methods and instruments. Primer design avoids SNP sites, ensuring stable and reliable testing data for different breeds of dogs.
